Occupational therapy – whakaora ngangahau
Occupational therapists help people participate in everyday life activities to improve their health and wellbeing. We do this by looking at how to develop or adapt routines that support a healthier or more satisfying lifestyle and/or modify the activity or environment itself so that you can participate in it more fully.
You can read more about occupational therapy on the Occupational Therapy NZ website.
Our occupational therapy services include:
- Evaluating or assessing you, and determining your therapy goals
- Creating a customised treatment plan to improve your ability to perform daily activities and reach your goals
- Evaluating your progress and making changes to your treatment plan if necessary
How we can help you
We can help you to work towards a healthier, more enjoyable, meaningful and satisfying lifestyle. Some of our common treatments include adjusting work and home environments and developing strategies to return to work or other activities safely and effectively.
You can make an appointment to see us at our centre, and we also visit clients in their homes or workplaces.
